With more than 100 members, the HOTO (Heart of the Ozarks) was charted in 1969 and is the second largest Sertoma Club in the Springfield, Missouri area. Sertoma is an international 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit civic organization that began in 1912, and like "HOTO", the name "Sertoma" is also an acronym, meaning "SERvice TO MAnkind."

 

STATEMENT OF CHARITABLE INTENT GUIDELINES
The Heart of the Ozarks Sertoma Club, Inc. (HOTO) is a volunteer service organization that promotes the values of SERTOMA (SERvice TO MAnkind) by providing an opportunity for HOTO members to improve the quality of life and opportunities of less fortunate youth of our community through the development and administration of successful fundraising projects and related activities to fund and support charitable programs for such youth in the Springfield and surrounding geographic area.

HOTO primarily supports the Boys and Girls Clubs of Springfield.
Other charitable youth programs meeting HOTO standards may also be considered.
